Schools in J&K’s Rajouri district to remain close, exams cancelled

All government and private schools located in the 0-5 kilometre range from the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district will remain closed on Wednesday keeping the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir in mind.The exams of classes 5, 6 and 7 that were scheduled for today also stand cancelled, said Rajouri’s District Magistrate (DM). The fresh date of exams will be notified later. This comes after reports of Pakistani troops firing mortar shells and small arms across the LoC following India’s air strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s base in Pakistan’s Balakot.
