Maruti Suzuki India to stop selling diesel cars from April next year

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Thursday said it would stop selling diesel cars from April next year once BS-VI emission norms become effective. Around 23% of all units sold by Maruti in the domestic market currently are diesel cars. “If you’re a fan of Maruti diesel cars then you have a year to buy one,” Chairman RC Bhargava said.
